FanDuel Valley Forge Sportsbook
The Valley Forge casino got a major upgrade when it incorporated the FanDuel sportsbook. Opening up for action recently FanDuel pulled out all the stops and brought Eagles legend Brett Celek to come cut the ribbon for their new sportsbook. Although it is a bit out of the way located in Valley Forge I could see locals popping in, placing a bet, and hanging out and watching the game. SugarHouse Philadelphia Sportsbook
One of the first to open in Pennsylvania and it being the only book located within the city limits of Philadelphia, SugarHouse is in an interesting situation. SugarHouse has been a staple for gamblers for years and with the newly added sportsbook there is always a crowd inside.

Occupying a small portion towards the back of the casio the sportsbook has dozens of leather lounge chairs along with high top tables and barstools. During the NFL season and opening of the sportsbook it was a bit tough to find your own chair or table to sit back and watch the action. The crowd has significantly dwindled as the sports seasonality has moved towards week day NBA & MLB games. With the sportsbook comes specific sportsbook waitresses who are quick to deliver a beer or a Geno’s wiz wit to your table.
If you aren’t the type who wants to stay in the book after putting in your tickets you are in luck because the SugarHouse sports book has two different banks of Kambi machines. The larger bank features 14 machines and a line that moves quickly. From the back of the line it may take as long as 15 minutes to get up to a machine. The smaller bank only has 3 machines and if someone is taking their time to place their bets this line can feel like it takes forever. If you would rather talk to a person and place your bets live at the sportsbook there are usually 4-5 tellers available and a line that moves quickly.

Parx Philadelphia Sportsbook
The Parx “Philadelphia” sportsbook located right outside the city in Bucks County has been one of the most successful casinos in the state. A quick drive from both the city and the suburbs Parx has been able to bring in massive amounts of foot traffic for table games and it will be interesting to see if they can keep up that momentum for the sportsbook
Similar to other sportsbook in Pennsylvania, Parx wasn’t able to fully build out a sportsbook like what you may be accustomed to in Vegas or Atlantic City, but it definitely is a sight to be seen. This sportsbook really toes the line between a traditional sportsbook like the one at SugarHouse and a popular sportsbar. Although the room is dark it is kept dimly lit with neon lights and the glow from all the TVs. With tons of seats it is easy to find some where to sit back, grab a drink, watch the game, and then cash your winning ticket before you leave.
Parx is one of the best casinos in the Keystone state for a reason. It offers tons to do outside of the new sportsbook and casino.
